CBC Canada's September schedule is up. Utopia (pt 1 of 3) will air
on 3 September (the sports games are due to be over before start
time), but be pre-empted on 10 September due to the Canadian Country
Music Awards. The Sound of Drums airs on 24 September, with 3rd
series finale Last of the Time Lords on 24 September. 8PM all time
zones.
(Note - the sports games are due to end at 7:30PM Eastern, which
would conflict with Utopia in the Atlantic and Newfoundland time
zones. If the awards show on the 10th of September is live, then it
would start *after* the Doctor Who time slot in those time zones. The
schedule portion of the CBC's website was having troubles this
morning, and I was unable to check each time zone to see how the CBC
was handling this situation.)
SciFi Channel US moves the first Doctor Who broadcast from 9PM
Eastern to 8PM Eastern this Friday to make room for the new Flash
Gordon series. First up at 8PM - The Lazarus Experiment. The 11PM
Eastern repeat moves to Midnight this week before settling at 1AM
next week (42). This midseason schedule change has been planned all
along - SciFi wanted Flash to have the best time slot once it began
but didn't want repeats between Doctor Who and Painkiller Jane during
July and early August. With the September schedule up, Doctor Who
looks on course to run through October 5 (pre-empted on August 31 for
a Labor Day weekend Stargate marathon).
Prime in New Zealand has officially scheduled the Series 3 premiere
for Sunday 19 August at 7:30PM (previous series aired Thursdays at
7:30PM). The Runaway Bride gets a 90 minute slot.
Belgian station een returns Doctor Who to the lineup today after a 3
week gap to air The Age Of Steel. There is a notice up for the 11th
saying that Doctor Who moves to a later date. No idea what the start
date will be for the rest of Series 2.
